Overview
Sermon Notes Pro is an offline-first sermon writing and presentation app. You can use the core writing experience without creating an account. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the website, mobile app, cloud sync, Community, subscriptions, advertising, Scripture retrieval, diagnostics, or optional AI tools.
Information we process
Content and files. We process the sermon text, private speaker notes, Scripture passages, images, videos, presentation settings, stories, venue profiles, rehearsal data, and results that you create or upload. Without an account, this content can remain on your device. When you connect an account, the data you choose to synchronize is stored so your library can follow you across devices.
Account and transaction data. If you create an account, we process your email address, account identifier, sign-in records, and subscription entitlement. Apple, Google, or our billing provider processes payment details; Sermon Notes Pro does not receive your full payment-card number.
Community and support. We process content you deliberately publish to Community, along with comments, ratings, reports, blocks, and moderation records. If you contact support, we process the information you provide so we can respond and troubleshoot.
Device, advertising, and diagnostics data. Depending on your plan and settings, we may process device/app information, crash and performance diagnostics, IP-derived region, advertising identifiers, consent choices, and limited ad interaction data.
Scripture requests. When you request text from a licensed API.Bible edition, the Scripture provider receives the requested passage and edition plus an anonymous device/session view report required by its content licenses. Sermon Notes Pro does not put your email address or sermon text in that report.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the app; save, synchronize, restore, present, and export your work; provide requested subscriptions, Scripture text, Community, and AI features; prevent abuse; diagnose failures; respond to support; comply with law; and improve reliability.
Your sermon content and Community
You control your sermon content. Private sermons and private speaker notes are not published to Community unless you deliberately publish audience-safe sermon content. Community publishing excludes PRIVATE modules and uploaded image or video files by default. Anything you intentionally publish can be viewed and copied by others, so do not publish confidential material.
Microphone and speech
Dictation and Voice Follow request microphone access only when you activate them. The mobile app is designed to use device speech recognition where available. Your device platform may process speech under its own privacy terms. If a future enhanced feature sends audio to a separate cloud speech service, the app will disclose that use before the audio is sent.
Optional AI features
When you intentionally use Sermon Coach, the sermon content needed for your request is sent to the configured AI provider to generate the response. Scripture modules send their reference and edition, but omit the passage text from the AI request. Sermon Coach is optional; do not submit information you do not want processed for that request. If you report a Coach response inside the app, we retain the selected reason and an excerpt of that response with your account identifier so an authorized moderator can review it.
Advertising
Standard is Free Forever and may display ads on the Dashboard and Sermon Editor. Ads are not shown in Present, Formatted View, Rehearsal, Teleprompter, Audience Output, or exports. Pro removes ads. Where required, we request consent before eligible personalized advertising. Visit Your Privacy Choices for the controls available to you.
Service providers and transfers
We use service providers for cloud authentication and storage, subscriptions, advertising, crash monitoring, Scripture retrieval, hosting, and optional AI features. They receive only the information reasonably needed for their service and may process it in countries other than yours under their own legal safeguards.
Retention and security
Cloud data is kept while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. Published Community material remains until you remove it, it is moderated, or the account is deleted, subject to limited backup and legal retention. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and rights
You can use the core editor without an account, control permissions through your device, choose what to publish, download a local library backup, and delete your cloud account from Account & Sync. If you no longer have the app, use Delete Your Account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information. Use the Support page to make another privacy request.
Deleting your cloud account removes the account and associated synced database records and media from active systems. Local-only sermons remain on each device until you delete them there. Limited records may remain where legally required or in time-limited backups.
Children
Sermon Notes Pro is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us through Support.
